I aspire to create art that infuses happiness into the world with color & texture.
I was born in Toronto, Canada and raised in San Jose, California. After being away for more than 26 years, I was very happy to return in 2016 and be close to family again.
I started painting about 5 years ago. I should say I started creating mixed media pieces at that time and then eventually moved into painting. It was the summer of 2015 that I decided to become an abstract painter. I have dedicated all of my time to only creating abstract, learning the principles and experimenting to develop my own style.
When it comes to making art, my preferred paint is acrylic because I have very little patience. I find that acrylics dry fairly quickly (or with the help of my handy hair dryer). I also use different mark making tools such as charcoal, graphite and pencils along with nails, skewers, toothpicks or anything else to scratch into the surface. Experimenting regularly allows for happy accidents that often enhance the outcome.
My art is full of color, which is a reflection of the joy I feel within and the positive view I have in life.
If you love my art but don't see one that will fit perfectly into your space, contact me and I'll work with you to create just the right one for you: firstname.lastname@example.org.
